LES South Africa’s Annual General Meeting took place at STIAS Conference Centre, 10 Marais Road, Stellenbosch on 29 August 2019.

The AGM was followed by an afternoon conference on “Technology and Innovation in South Africa”.  The keynote speaker was Ms Fiona Nicolson, LES International President who spoke on changes in the global IP landscape and licensing – past, present and future.  Other speakers included Pontsho Maruping,  Head of Commercialisation, South African Radio Astronomy Observatory; Andrew Bailey, Senior Manager: Innovation at the UCT technology transfer office and Daniel Strauss who is a private equity and venture capital entrepreneur.
